Moving On recognises the value of educational visits in testing out new confidence. Going out as a group gives an ideal opportunity to practice the transfer of new skills and to reinforce the social skills that are so important in the development of self.
Each time groups undertake a visit there is always some additional follow up work required. This will be in the form of expression of ideas, thoughts or feelings through the vehicles of art, craft, communication and/or creative writing.
Visits inspire and challenge individuals to think about and appreciate new environments in interesting and inspiring ways.
"I didn't really want to go the War Museum, I am not really interested in wars and that kind of thing, but it was good. I want to go back, it opened my mind and got me to think about all kinds of things in a different way, I really want to go back" Emily | ||||||
